In a nutshell

The most practical place for charging an electric car is at home.

On average, cars are parked 90% of the time, and most of this takes place either at home or at work. With a smart EV charging station, charging is fast, simple, and safe. As the charging station owner, you’ll decide who gets to charge and at what price.

Due to EV charging being slow and causing potential safety risks, regular household (Schuko) sockets are not suitable for long-term use. Charging stations can, therefore, have a positive impact on the value of your premises, as electric car owners are likely to see the charging point as a necessary feature. Managing a residential charging station is no problem either: You simply set a price and define who will get access to the station.

90% of EV owners charge their car daily or weekly at home.

Virta Private is the optimal solution for residential EV charging

The service can be used at locations where charging stations are dedicated to a certain customer group, such as tenants of a residential building.

The service package includes a smart charging device connected to Virta’s smart charging platform. All charging devices come with Type 2 sockets, a GPRS connection and are very easy to use: All you have to do is swipe “Start charging” on the mobile app or show your RFID to the device.

The stations should be installed by a professional electrician. As the charging device is connected to a power source, it automatically connects to our service and allows you to start charging.

Why Virta?

Automatic billing

All EV drivers are identified and billed automatically and the money is transferred to the owner of the charging point on a monthly basis. There won’t be any need to argue about the electricity bills that result from charging, as residents who use the charging station are always billed automatically.

On the Virta Admin Panel, station owner can set the price for charging, manage access rights, view charging statistics, and control charging events. If you want, you can also limit the maximum charging power.

Smooth customer experience

EV drivers can identify themselves at the station with radio-frequency identification (RFID) tags or through the mobile application. Smart charging stations serve all EV drivers, from customers with plug-in hybrid drivers to those driving SUVs with large batteries.

All charging stations have a standardized Type 2 socket and can charge with a maximum power of 22 kW, which is enough to refill even the largest batteries overnight. If some of the residents have a company car benefit, their employer can be billed directly.

Smart features - future-proof charging

Virta’s smart energy features ensure that EV drivers can benefit from charging stations well into the future. Dynamic load management (DLM) makes sure that electricity systems will not overload and that cars are always charged with the maximum power available.
