PLAZA Hotelgroup together with Virta invests in charging infrastructure at over 50 locations

The expanding PLAZA Hotelgroup is represented by its more than 50 hotels in Germany, Austria and the Netherlands. In cooperation with Virta, a new hotel service will soon be available to travellers: electric vehicle (EV) charging.

Together with Virta, the PLAZA Hotelgroup will provide public charging infrastructure at all of their locations over the next few months. This service allows hotel guests to charge their electric vehicles during their stay, supports sustainable mobility and offers travellers added value.

EV charging at PLAZA Hotelgroup’s hotels is mainly aimed at frequent and business travellers who, in addition to the highest comfort and top service, now also expect charging possibilities for their electric cars. At the same time, the PLAZA Hotelgroup makes a valuable contribution to the expansion of the public charging network.

Due to their central locations, the PLAZA Hotelgroup hotels are ideal for the operation of EV charging stations. With its one-stop-shop solution, Virta enables a smooth and cost-effective implementation of the charging infrastructure.

As one of Europe’s fastest-growing EV charging platforms, Virta can quickly implement EV charging in the countries where the PLAZA Hotelgroup is active and expand it to other target markets quickly. Currently, the Virta charging network includes over 500,000 charging points, including roaming and is used by thousands of EV drivers around Europe daily.

In the Virta mobile app, EV drivers can easily find PLAZA Hotelgroup charging points, manage and pay for charging sessions, view invoices and access 24/7 customer support.
