Virta and Evailable Announce Partnership at ICNC 2025, Showcasing Real-World Impact of AI-Driven Charging Operations

At the Intercharge Network Conference (ICNC) 2025, Virta and Evailable took the stage together to announce their official Plug & Play partnership, setting a new standard for data-driven, automated charge point operations.

The announcement was made during a keynote session featuring Maren Rehnelt, Managing Director at Evailable, and Nicolai Woyczechowski, VP Sales DACH & CEE at Virta, who presented real-world results from a major Virta platform charge point operator (CPO).

The partnership between Virta, a leading energy and charging solutions provider, and Evailable, the AI-powered automation platform for EV charging, is designed to make real availability—not just theoretical uptime—the new standard for CPOs. By combining Virta’s robust, scalable charge point management system (CPMS) with Evailable’s predictive analytics and automation, CPOs can now unlock a new era of operational efficiency, reliability, and customer satisfaction.

During the keynote, Rehnelt and Woyczechowski shared exclusive data from a European CPO operating 1,500 DC stations on Virta’s CPMS. Over just five months, OCPP uptime improved from 88.3% to 95.5%, while Evailable uptime rose from 76.2% to 82.2%.

The successful charging session rate jumped from 88.1% to 90.6%. Stations in failure dropped by 21%, missed sessions fell by nearly 70%, and the total energy charged increased by 12.6%. Most notably, Evailable’s healing automation proactively saved €81,000 in lost revenue.*

This collaboration is not about adding complexity. Instead, it is about building a toolkit: CPOs can keep their existing CPMS and simply add AI-powered operations. Evailable’s AI approach, as presented during the keynote, was compared to methods from health science: using behavioral analysis and a “health index” for each charging site, then applying automated “healing” to resolve issues before they impact users. This proactive, data-driven model ensures that CPOs can focus on growth, not firefighting.
