The Financial Times published its seventh edition of the FT 1000, Europe’s Fastest Growing Companies list, on March 1. The ranking, compiled with data provider Statista, lists the European companies that achieved the highest compound annual growth rate in revenue between 2018 and 2021.
Virta was the fastest-growing company in Europe to offer platforms for EV charging. Remarkably, Virta is among the rare 65 companies that made the FT 1000 list four consecutive times. Between 2015 and 2022 Virta CAGR has been 90% and in 2022 Virta continued to accelerate, reaching 112% annual revenue growth, according to preliminary unaudited financials.
In addition to FT 1000, Virta made the Tech Tour Growth50 List, published on February 22. The eighth annual report highlights the top European tech companies with the potential to become unicorns. Virta was voted as one of the top 15 sustainability tech companies by the selection panel of over 90 top-level investors. In the past the list has featured such companies as Spotify and iZettle
“Our continued growth proves our capability public and private players in need of a fast and cost-efficient way to enter and scale their EV charging businesses,” says Virta CEO Jussi Palola.
“This is, however, only one part of how we can contribute to the sustainable future. With intensified investments in extending our leadership in energy management technologies, we are ready to help harness the significant impact that our network and EVs in general can have on enabling the fast-evolving transition to the global renewables-based energy system,” continues Mr. Palola.
